Academics

A real school. Just delivered differently.

Live. Interactive. Engaging.

Most online high schools are built around recorded lessons and independent modules. Students watch, click, and submit – alone.

Dual Academy is different. Students meet live. On a schedule. With real teachers. With the same classmates each week. They speak, present, collaborate, and stay accountable to one another.

Flex students get the same live classes. They can attend in real time or watch the recordings – whichever fits their schedule. Deliverables are due on a schedule, just like at any college.

Online Does Not Mean Alone

Every class is built around live interaction.

Students work in teams on business cases, AI applications, and real-world projects. Collaboration is embedded, not occasional. Every Dual Academy class is taught alongside NewU University college students, so high school students learn with college peers from day one.

The skills your student builds:

  • Communication, time management, and conflict resolution
  • Leadership, autonomy, and critical thinking
  • Professional presentation and executive presence
  • Accountability to teammates
  • Resilience

Every full-time student follows a defined academic pathway with monthly one-on-one coaching. Parents have clear points of contact and always-on access to grades and progress.

The result: 80 transferable college credits by graduation, real career skills, and an open door to finish a bachelor’s in just one more year at our partner, NewU University, accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).

Academic Calendar

School-year schedule you’d recognize.

Classes run from September to June.

Typical holidays, vacations, weekly rhythm. No summer terms, evening, or weekend classes required.

Just a normal school day schedule and workload.

Curriculum

Study smarter, not harder.

Typical high school workload and calendar, because the schedule consists of college classes only, and they count for high school credit, too.

The curriculum is built around the three pillars: soft skills, business acumen, AI proficiency.

High school diploma requirements are covered, and students earn 40 college credits per year in our full-time programs, 80 by graduation. College professors teach every class.

Accreditation

Credibility from two accrediting bodies.

Dual Academy is accredited by Cognia – a national accrediting body representing more than 40,000 institutions worldwide. Cognia accreditation means we meet rigorous standards for educational quality and commit to continuous improvement every year.

Our partner NewU University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) – the same accreditor as Columbia, Georgetown, NYU, Rutgers, and UPenn. Every college credit your student earns at Dual Academy comes from NewU University.
